Programs

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". Nelson Mandela

We offer flexible preschool hours.  You can enroll your child in a five-day, three-day, or two-day program.  You can choose a half-day or a full-day program that best suits your requirement.

Curriculum

Math: Children learn sequencing, patterning, addition, subtraction, money, space, time, measurement, and many such concepts through various manipulatives.

Phonics: Phonics refers to a method for teaching speakers of English to read and write that language. Phonics involves teaching how to connect the sounds of spoken English with letters or groups of letters and teaching them to blend the sounds of letters.  My worksheets help children learn letter formation, sound recognition, blending and many such important skills to be successful in kindergarten.

Art: Friedrich Froebel, the father of kindergarten, believed that young children should be involved in both making their own art and enjoying the art of others. I have observed in my four years of teaching that children feel a great sense of emotional satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment when they create art.  My curriculum is designed to teach art through step by step instructions (at least twice a week) so that the children feel confident in their ability to draw and express themselves. Children will get enough opportunity to do free art.

Science: There is a science theme for each month. We learn simple scientific concepts through exploration.  We ask questions, do experiments, act out situations, and read fun books.

A Day at Precious Pearls

A typical day at Precious Pearls would begin by learning social interaction skills, understanding time/day orientation, learning incremental math, developing reading skills, honing scientific reasoning ability, playing pretend, doing art through different mediums, and spending time in the reading corner.
