Welcome to Precious Pearls Preschool/daycare. My name is Renu Singh and I have taught preschoolers for 4 years at one of the best private preschools of the bay area. I have a Masters degree in Child Development. My day care is licensed therefore meets all state stipulated safety norms.
I welcome children from 2.5 years to 5 years (potty trained or nearly there). I provide safe, supportive and fun learning environment to children. Children will enjoy fun activities like arts & crafts, puzzles, reading, and role-playing among many other things. I plan fun phonics and math activities for kids. I believe children learn best through play and practical exploration.
I offer morning and afternoon preschool programs. My aim is to offer age appropriate learning to the young creative minds.
Math: Saxon Math is one of the nation's most thoroughly researched core mathematics programs for grades K–12. Saxon's unique pedagogical approach-based on instruction, practice, and assessment distributed across grade levels-incorporates more than 25 years of research and classroom experience.
Saxon is successfully used in many popular bay-area schools like Challenger, Stratford and many others.
Phonics: Phonics refers to a method for teaching speakers of English to read and write that language. Phonics involves teaching how to connect the sounds of spoken English with letters or groups of letters and teaching them to blend the sounds of letters.
Spectrum Early Years builds fine motor skills and basic skills through fun hands-on and worksheet activities. The worksheets help children learn letter formation, sound recognition, blending and many such important skills for success in preschool and kindergarten.
Science: There is a science theme for each month. We'll learn these concepts through hands on experiments and through fun books.
A typical day at Precious Pearls would begin by learning social interaction skills, understanding time/day orientation, learning incremental math, developing reading skills, honing scientific reasoning ability, playing pretend, doing art through different mediums, and spending time in the reading corner
